Understanding experiences of digital inclusion
The Programme aimed to ensure that the future model(s) and practice of digital inclusion are designed to meet the needs and aspirations of people accessing mental health and housing services/support. This strand of work involved engaging directly with people with lived experience and key stakeholders across mental health and housing.
We worked with grant-funded projects looking at the different groups of people each project worked with, and how we include lived and living experience in the Programme. By the end of the funding period, we developed models that reflect the lived experience of those who will benefit from them.
Stakeholder engagement events
On the 1st and 2nd March 2023, we held stakeholder engagement events for mental health and housing to hear views on how we could shape our Programme. To read a summary of the insights captured during the events:
On the 16th and 22 November 2023, we held further sessions to update on the progress of the programme and engage further on how digital inclusion is progressing withing mental health and housing. To read a summary of the insights captured during the events:
Lived experience engagement sessions
We regularly engaged with the Digital Citizen Panel who provided feedback and ideas on programme progress.
We also engaged with people with lived experience of accessing mental health support and housing. These engagements informed the development of a set of design principles for digital inclusion in health and social care. The principles are included in the Digital Inclusion Toolkit for Health and Social Care.
