SCVO Digital Inclusion Check-up
What is the tool and what does it aim to do?
The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) Digital Inclusion Maturity check up is a free tool which is designed to assess an organisation’s progress towards embedding digital inclusion. It is suggested that you use this tool at the beginning of the process towards developing your approach to digital inclusion support. You can also continue to use this tool as to monitor your progress across your organisation/service’s digital inclusion journey.
What you’ll need to be able to complete the tool / preparation required
The tool is available online and takes approximately ten minutes to complete. You will need to understand some key things about what your organisation has been doing to support digital inclusion in order to complete the tool.
How to use the tool
The tool will lead you through a series of questions about your organisation/service’s understanding and experience of addressing digital inclusion; leadership and strategy for digital inclusion; resources available and required; partnership(s); and finally it will ask your role within the organisation. At the end it will share a digital inclusion score on each of the areas assessed and there is an opportunity to contact SCVO for further information and to discuss the results. A report will be emailed to you with further links and resources to help support progress on areas for improvement.
Tips for using the tool
This tool works well for assessing your organisation/service’s digital inclusion maturity and understanding progress in different areas. Having digital inclusion maturity assessed in different areas helps to understand where improvements can be made and the items assessed can help identify where to start.
