NES updates digital age pathways

The Digitally Enabled Workforce Team in NES have refreshed their Thriving in the Digital Age Pathways  resources, to reflect the continued development of digital transformation.

These include practical tools to help you make a real impact in your role.  The pathways are not specific to any profession, organisation or role, applying to anyone working in health and social care in Scotland (whether NHS, local government, health and social care partnerships, social work, social care, care and support providers, housing, third and independent sectors) and including managers, leaders, and people in strategic roles.

The Pathways cover Digital and Data; Cyber Security; Artificial Intelligence; and Digital Leadership. An additional Technology Enabled Care pathway is also being developed.

Embedding digital ways of working in organisations is essential in improving outcomes in health and social care. The health and social care workforce therefore needs to adopt digital ways of working and have awareness of digital systems and processes. Scottish Government and COSLA have commissioned the Pathways to promote workforce development in these areas.
