Co-design process (session plans)
What is the tool and what does it aim to do?
The session plans aims to support organisations/services to think about what digital inclusion means in the context of their work and provides a stage by stage set of plans for how to develop their approach to supporting digital inclusion as part of their wider delivery of digital services. It consists of a set of 8 session plans with questions and prompts to guide organisations through the process of how to design their model and approach to digital inclusion. Each session plan also includes references on where to use each of the tools included in this toolkit.
What you’ll need to be able to complete the tool / preparation required
Each workshop session plan provides information including a briefing for facilitator/person leading the work on what the aim and outcomes of the session, preparation required, who to involve, how to run the activities/discussions in each session, and when to the use the different tools from the toolkit.
How to use the tool
Follow the steps in each session plan to ensure you complete the preparation required and invite relevant participants to the session. The session plans reference the tools from this digital inclusion toolkit and provide a step by step flow of how the session should run with suggested questions and prompts to support the activities and discussion in the session and how to capture information that comes from the session.
Tips for using the tool
The session plans will help guide the overall process towards working through the organisation/service’s understanding of, and approach to developing digital inclusion support. To ensure drive, momentum and ownership to complete the whole process it is recommended that there is a key ‘lead’ person who takes on the role of organising the sessions and tracking progress through the co-design, ensuring participation from relevant stakeholders across the organisation, wider partners and people with lived experience.
